The SciFi Film Festival, (SFFF) is an annual event dedicated to putting the spotlight on science fiction, fantasy and horror films, and interactive entertainment from Australia and around the world.
Our curated festival program includes everything from screenings to gala premieres, workshops, discussions, interactive game experiences, VR/AR presentations, exhibitions and a lot of quirky events and fun parties.
The SFFF creates an exciting and inspiring meeting place for emerging and established artists, audiences, and media professionals.
SFFF has teamed up with Event Cinemas – All screenings, events and special guest appearances will take place at one of most iconic cinema venues in Australia. Event Cinemas, George Street is located in the centre of Sydney’s CBD, at the heart of the entertainment district.
The SciFi Film Festival is a not for profit creative enterprise, actively supporting adventurous filmmaking talent and delivering unforgettable, exciting experiences for audiences.
Behind the scenes of the festival is an experienced team of real people dedicated to celebrating the science fiction and fantasy genres, their films and pop culture.
The team has been designing and curating the festival with established partners since 2014.
The last few years has seen more sci-fi and fantasy content being produced, than in the decades before. We are living in a golden age for Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
