From the director of Nikita: Scarlett Johansson’s most ass-kicking role
When drug mule Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) by accident gets a good dose of what she is transporting into her system, she suddenly acquires superhuman strength and fighting know-how. She also gains a whole heap of other neat tricks: she’s able to absorb knowledge instantaneously, is unable to feel pain and can move objects with her mind. In short: Lucy is one sexy fighting machine!
Luc Besson (The Fifth Element, Columbiana) is writing and directing the sci-fi action flick. The filmmaker is responsible for some of the most iconic action heroines of screen history: the eponymous Nikita in the French assassin thriller (1990), Leeloo (Milla Jovovich) in The Fifth Element or Mathilde (Natalie Portman) in Léon. Scarlett Johansson’s Lucy continues this trend!
Morgan Freeman co-stars as a professor well-versed in evolution and neurology who Lucy is on a mission to find.
